Above-mentioned projects are the fruit of Cerkljanski mladinski alternativni klub (The Cerkno Youth Alternative Club – C.M.A.K. Cerkno) which besides bigger festivals also organises smaller events, concerts, lectures, workshops, exhibitions, club nights…

Camp Karajžewc is a festival which has an ethnological, ecological feel to it. It takes place along the riverside of Idrijca in the village of Straža/Želin, near Cerkno. The camp hosts a number of workshops, lectures and ethno concerts.

Cmakajne Festival takes place throughout September in C.M.A.K. or other locations around Cerkno. There are many concerts, local and foreign, of diverse genres, and a lot of other events.

It is also worth noting Deuje babe Festival which runs a programme that aims to forefront the work and position of women in society, presenting their artistic and cultural endeavours and promoting gender equality and feminist standpoints. It takes place in March and includes many concerts, lectures, film projections, exhibitions and other interesting events.
The club is located in the centre of Cerkno.
